Desert Safari in Hurghada: Quad, Jeep, Buggy or Stargazing?
By Hurghada Transfer · 5 November 2026 · 5 min readBehind the hotels of Hurghada the Eastern Desert begins: mountains, sand and Bedouin camps. A desert safari is the easiest way to see it, and there are trips for every taste.
The different safaris
Quad bikes
After a briefing and a short test drive, you drive your own quad bike in a group behind a guide, across the desert to a Bedouin village with tea, fresh bread and a camel ride. From €14 per person for three hours, or from €15 on a sunset tour along the sea and the mountains.

Jeep and stargazing
No driving: a jeep takes you into the desert in the evening for a Bedouin dinner and the stars through a telescope. Good for families and anyone who prefers a calmer evening, from €26 per person.

In summer, choose a sunset or evening trip: the midday desert is very hot. From November to March the mornings are pleasant and the evenings in the desert can be cold, so bring a warm layer.
