You can stand in front of the pyramids of Giza and be back at your Hurghada hotel the same night. The big question is how to get there: by road or by plane.
By road
Cairo is about 460 km from Hurghada, around six hours by road each way. The pickup is in the middle of the night, at about 02:00, so you reach Giza in the morning before the heat and the crowds. You come back late in the evening.
It is a long day, but the price is much lower: from €95 per person with the Giza pyramids, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple, the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, an Egyptologist guide and lunch.

The flight from Hurghada to Cairo takes about an hour. We drive you to Hurghada Airport early in the morning, a guide meets you in Cairo and you fly back in the evening. You spend the time at the pyramids instead of on the road.
The flight trip costs from €273 per person including the flights, the guide, the entry tickets and lunch with a view of the pyramids. It is the best choice for families with small children, older travellers and anyone who gets tired on long drives.

Before you go
- Take your passport: it is needed on the flight and at checkpoints on the road.
- Entering the Great Pyramid needs an extra ticket and is not for people who dislike tight spaces.

- Wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat: the Giza plateau has very little shade.
